Influential Communication Skills for The Professional Woman


I would like to introduce you to an exciting new course offered by Warschaw Learning Institute. It is called "Influential Communication Skills for The Professional Woman". Many of our students have requested such a course, so as usual we listened and took action.

In today's busy world of modern technology, often we forget that effective communications is the foundation for success in everything we do, not only in our professional lives, but our personal lives as well. In addition, because today's professional woman holds positions of leadership which embody the essence of fundamental business principles that greatly impact the company's bottom line, we felt it only appropriate to model this course in that direction.

Outlined below are the course modules, with a brief description of what each entails:

*Module 1: Using Your Voice: The Art of Assertive Communication
 
This module will teach the student how to be more self confident when communicating with others and the difference between assertive and aggressive communication techniques.

*Module 2: Five Steps for Becoming an Active Listener  
Before we can hear, first we must listen. This module will teach the student how to become an active listener, the basis for effective communications.

*Module 3: Communication Mistakes that can keep you from getting ahead in the Workplace
  
Often we take for granted that "all communications are created equal". This module will teach students the common pitfalls to avoid which will foster not only professional growth but personal growth as well.

*Module 4: Learn to Recognize Triangles so you can communicate clearly and positively on the Job
  
This module will demonstrate the importance of "going to the source" with any concerns, and demonstrate the devastating affect gossip and sub-grouping can have on a team.

*Module 5: Ask the Right Questions  
This module will teach the student how asking the right questions will greatly stramline the communication process, and result in win-win situations for everyone.

*Module 6: Resolve Workplace Conflict
  
This module will teach proven strategies for turning every break-down into a break-through.

*Module 7: Build a Better, Stronger Team
  
This module will demonstrate how learning to communicate effectively not only empowers each individual, but also serves to strengthen and unite the entire team.

*Module 8: Improve Communication with Your Boss
  
This module offers exact techniques to enable students to confidently and constructively approach approach the boss with concerns and requests in a way that results in a positive outcome.


Grading Policy
Overall assessment for this course is based on final score. Certficate of completion provided at that time.

Office Managers (CDPMAs) and Dental Assistants (CDAs, COAs and COMSAs) will receive (3 CEUs) #05013-0005-04-08
