One of the biggest reason for billing medical is because this opens up another entire maximum (benefit dollars) for the patient to take advantage of. As you know the typical dental yearly maximum caps out at around $1,000, whereas the medical maximum usually caps out at around $1,000,000 or more. So, right there you have a good reason.

In addition, because we understand how frustrating learning a new process can be, we are dedicated to help you overcome the challenge. Included in the cost of the course is our assistance to your practice in arbitration of your first medical claim rejection/requests.

Course modules consist of;

  • Why and When to Bill Medical
  • Types of Medical Insurance
  • Understanding the Two Code Sets
  • Effective Communications Between Team Members and Patients
  • Verification of Medical Benefits for Dental Procedures
  • Dental to Medical Cross Coding Simplified
  • Understanding Coordination of Benefits Between Dental and Medical
  • Sample Medical Claim Form with Instructions
  • Sample Medical Claim Submitted for Dental Procedures
  • Claims Monitoring and Trouble Shooting
